Remote filing of claims

Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d., encourages customers to file claims remotely.

Following the Wednesday evening storm that affected most of Slovenia, Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d., is encouraging policyholders to file claims electronically or over the phone. Those affected can submit a claim on the Triglav.si website or using the free Triglav asistenca mobile app. They can also call the toll-free 24-hour hotline at 080 555 555 to schedule vehicle damage inspection and appraisals.

Following the Wednesday evening storm that hit most of Slovenia, Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d., encourages all policyholders who want to file an insurance claim to do so remotely. “By calling our toll-free hotline or using the online app, customers can report damage to vehicles and property. After receiving the claim, we will advise clients on further steps in the claims resolution process, and schedule a date for an inspection, if necessary. This way clients reporting damage can avoid long queues that usually accompany such events. They can also file their claim at the time that suits them best. Last but not least, they can help minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission,” said Boris Kuhelj, head of the regional claims centre at Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d..

Policyholders can report damage to vehicles or other property at Triglav.si or via the Triglav asistenca mobile app, available as a free download from the Apple App Store and Google Play. They can also call the toll-free 24-hour hotline at 080 555 555. Those affected can also seek assistance in reporting damage from their insurance agent, at the nearest branch or representative office, or at a regional Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d., office.

When filing a claim, policyholders should observe the following steps:
• Check their insurance policy coverage before submitting the claim.
• Take photographs showing the damage as accurately as possible, if doing so is feasible and safe.
• When submitting a claim, policyholders should provide as precise a description of the damaged items as possible, along with their telephone number and the bank account number to which the insurance company can make the payment.

There is no need to rush to file claims. Although the deadline for reporting damage is three days after occurrence, Triglav will also consider claims filed after such extraordinary events.
