For a better tomorrow in the Štajerska and Prekmurje regions

The Eastern Region of Zavarovalnica Triglav supports four prevention projects in its 11th New Year’s campaign

As part of the traditional New Year’s For a Better Tomorrow campaign, which is now in its 11th year, Zavarovalnica Triglav supported 27 prevention projects across Slovenia. In the east of the country, Triglav helped the Moravske Toplice Volunteer Fire Brigade purchase a new firefighting vehicle, aided the Slovenska Bistrica kindergarten in acquiring a smoke sensor, play mats, and first aid equipment, and helped the Municipality of Poljčane purchase a protective surface for the playground equipment at the local sports park. Additionally, the campaign saw a defibrillator installed at a tourist facility in the region.

The For a Better Tomorrow prevention campaign is part of our core mission to create a safer future for all. This year, the Eastern Region of Zavarovalnica Triglav supported four prevention projects, prioritising the safety of children and addressing the needs of firefighters, who play a vital role in protecting lives, property, and nature. At the same time, we remained committed to expanding the network of defibrillators in our towns and cities," emphasised Sandi Štefan Flisar, Director of the Eastern Region at Zavarovalnica Triglav.

The aforementioned Triglav’s regional office allocated a significant portion of this year's prevention campaign funds to the Moravske Toplice Volunteer Fire Brigade. The support facilitated the purchase of a new GVC-1 firefighting vehicle with a water tank, equipped with modern features and a larger capacity for firefighting agents, enhancing the unit’s efficiency during interventions. The vehicle also includes advanced safety features, further ensuring the protection of firefighters during operations.

Safer everyday lives for children
As part of the For a Better Tomorrow campaign, Zavarovalnica Triglav supported the Slovenska Bistrica kindergarten by funding a new smoke detector, play mats, and first aid equipment. This initiative will improve the safety of children and staff across all the kindergarten’s units and raise the level of preparedness for potential hazards such as fires and accidents. The upgraded equipment and preventive measures will reduce the risk of injury and enable faster responses during emergencies. Additionally, Zavarovalnica Triglav helped make children safer and more comfortable while playing on the playground at the Poljčane sports park.

Expanding the defibrillator network
As part of the For a Better Tomorrow preventive campaign, the Eastern Region of Zavarovalnica Triglav enabled the purchase and installation of a defibrillator at a tourist facility owned by the Strehovske Gorice, Vinogradništvo in Vinarstvo company.

Seconds count when it comes to saving lives, which is why Zavarovalnica Triglav is working to expand its network of defibrillators across Slovenia in order to ensure a safer future for everyone, including people living in remote areas. This year, through various organisations and projects – including the For a Better Tomorrow campaign – 19 defibrillators were purchased and installed, and a total of 230 have now been installed since 2014.

More than 270 prevention projects supported
Zavarovalnica Triglav’s traditional For a Better Tomorrow campaign has now been running for 11 years in a row and has so far supported more than 270 prevention projects in health, education, social care, and civil protection, as well as flood and traffic safety. Twenty-seven projects were carried out this year alone, with a total value of EUR 70,000. Through this New Year’s prevention campaign, Slovenia’s leading insurer is also fulfilling its mission of creating a safer future. It works closely with local communities, who are best placed to respond to calls for help and meet their residents’ needs.
