In accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (the "Regulation"), Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d. provides you with information regarding the processing of your personal data in the field of telephone marketing.
Carrying out insurance representation and marketing by telephone on behalf and for the account of Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d.
Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d. (hereinafter referred to as the "Insurance Company") cooperates with business partners who, on behalf and for the account of the Insurance Company, carry out telephone marketing and activities related to insurance representation. For this purpose, we conclude a business contract and a personal data processing contract with each business partner. The processing of personal data for the purpose of telephone marketing of the Insurance Company's products and services carried out by our business partners does not therefore require any further prior consent from the individuals.
Before deciding whether to enter into a business relationship for this purpose, we will check whether the potential business partner provides sufficient safeguards in relation to the protection of personal data and identify the types of personal data that the business partner is allowed to process for the purposes of carrying out telephone marketing.
We closely monitor the work of our business partners.
What personal data is processed and how is it obtained by the business partner – the telephone marketing provider?
When carrying out direct marketing by telephone, the Insurance Company's business partner may, as a rule, process the following personal data in relation to you:
- name, surname, address and telephone number, where the controller has obtained prior consent or where this data is published in the Telephone Directory of Slovenia (TIS) and no prohibition on making commercial calls is indicated in addition to the telephone number;
- the information you have given the provider when calling the telephone number it has received in accordance with the above activities.
The Insurance Company does not provide all personal data of customers to business partners for the purpose of telephone marketing, but only:
- information on the cancellations received for the direct marketing provided by individuals to the Insurance Company;
- data already received from you by the contractual processor as previously mentioned, but only in connection with the statutory obligations and to the extent provided for by the Insurance Act.
Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d. is part of the Triglav Group and an independent controller of personal data.
Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d., Miklošičeva cesta 19, Ljubljana, is an independent controller of personal data.
In practice, we observe that when offering products of other companies in the Triglav Group, such as Triglav, Zdravstvena zavarovalnica, d.d., callers have the mistaken belief that the controller of personal data is, even in these cases, exclusively Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d. This is not the case: individual companies of the Triglav Group are independent controllers of personal data, which are bound by the regulations on the protection of personal data, just as Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d. is bound by the regulations on the protection of personal data. Therefore, in the event of a request for information about the personal data we process in relation to you, we at the Insurance Company cannot provide you with the data processed in relation to you by other companies of the Triglav Group, as we do not have such data in our possession. Objection to telephone marketing
You may object to the use of your personal data for direct telephone marketing purposes at any time by sending a written request to Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d., Miklošičeva cesta 19, 1000 Ljubljana or to info@triglav.si, or using the online form available on Insurance Company's website: www.triglav.si.
Warning of unfair commercial practices in telephone marketing
By individuals and some clients of Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d. we have been alerted to unfair business practices by unknown business entities. Calls have been made by individuals from the telephone numbers +386 2 621 98 30, +386 2 621 96 30, +386 68 635 652, +386 64 211 122 and +386 69 644 987, where, according to the information received, the callers falsely claim to be representatives of Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d. or of the company Triglav Svetovanje, d.o.o.
The telephone numbers mentioned do not belong to Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d., nor to its contractual processors.
