Reporting damage caused by hail

The Ajdovščina area was struck by a hailstorm, and Zavarovalnica Triglav is urging policyholders to report any damage remotely.

On Monday, the region experienced heavy rain and wind, followed by a hailstorm this morning that primarily damaged vehicles. Zavarovalnica Triglav encourages policyholders to report damage via the i.triglav digital office or through the form available on the company’s website.

Customers whose vehicles or real estate have been damaged by hail can submit claims quickly and easily using a form on this link. Claims can also be filed through the i.triglav digital office, which is accessible as  a mobile app. For assistance, a free hotline is available at 080 555 555. Policyholders may also reach out to their insurance agent or visit their nearest Zavarovalnica Triglav branch to submit a claim. Although the deadline for reporting damage is three days after its occurrence, Zavarovalnica Triglav also considers claims filed after this deadline in cases involving storm damage.

Zavarovalnica Triglav strives to handle all cases as quickly as possible, when circumstances allow. Natural disasters require an even stronger response and priority action on the ground. Zavarovalnica Triglav representatives will telephone customers who file their claim remotelyas soon as possible to arrange the next steps to resolve the claim.

 Stay informed and manage risks

Extreme weather events are increasingly damaging people's property and crops. While we can’t prevent such events, we can take steps to be better prepared and respond effectively. The Triglav Vreme (Triglav Weather) app can be useful in these efforts, enabling users to activate push messages that warn them about various weather events so they can take timely action to protect themselves and their property.

And to better understand their exposure to natural disasters in their area, people can use the upgraded risk assessment functionality available in the i.triglav digital office. This tool allows users to check their property's risk level for earthquakes, floods, hail, lightning, and now landslides. Zavarovalnica Triglav developed this innovative feature in response to the most severe floods and storms in Slovenia’s history, which occurred in 2023, and highlighted the importance of appropriate insurance coverage against natural disasters.
