Connected For a Better Tomorrow

As part of its 12th New Year campaign, Zavarovalnica Triglav supports 16 prevention projects around the country

The approaching month of December brings joy and togetherness with our loved ones. At the same time, it offers an opportunity to show care to the most vulnerable members of our society and to express gratitude – including to those who most often help us in times of need. To this end, and with an eye on a safer future for everyone, Zavarovalnica Triglav supported 16 prevention projects around the country, worth a total of EUR 70.000, as part of their traditional “For a Better Tomorrow” New Year campaign. In cooperation with local communities, Triglav paid particular attention to firefighters and organisations that care for the most vulnerable groups.

The mission of Slovenia’s leading insurance company goes beyond offering carefully prepared insurance products. It is our attempt to pave the way for a better life and a safer future for everyone. Zavarovalnica Triglav launched this year’s preventive “For a Better Tomorrow” campaign with two events marking the symbolic handover of funds to the Matevž Langus Training, Work and Care Centre (CUDV) in Radovljica and to five volunteer firefighting brigades in the Osrednjeslovenska region in central Slovenia (Bevke, Dolnji Logatec, Ježica, Motnik and Pšata-Dragomelj).

Support already extended to more than 60 firefighting brigades in central Slovenia

“Firefighters are often the first to come to the rescue in times of need. We are well aware of this at Zavarovalnica Triglav, which is why we have cooperated with firefighting organisations for many years and supported them in fulfilling their mission. Over the 12 years of the ‘For a Better Tomorrow’ campaign, we have supported more than 60 volunteer firefighting brigades in the Osrednjeslovenska region, donating a total of more than EUR 200,000 for various equipment,” said Primož Rot, director in charge of the Osrednjeslovenska region at Zavarovalnica Triglav, at today’s event at Triglav Lab, where the funds were symbolically handed over to the brigades. The firefighting brigades will use the funds to purchase equipment.

Most fires that get out of control in homes occur in December, during the heating season and over the holidays, when advent wreaths, lights and candles pose a particular hazard. Zavarovalnica Triglav therefore urges everyone to be especially careful and take precautionary measures at this time.

Purchase of playground equipment for severely disabled children

The Radovljica Training, Work and Care Centre (CUDV), which cares for children, young people and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, has allocated funds from the “For a Better Tomorrow” campaign for the purchase of playground equipment adapted for severely disabled children.
