Members of the Sevnica Firefighting Association have responded to more than 400 calls this year. Zavarovalnica Triglav, whose “For A Better Tomorrow” New Year campaign supporting prevention projects across Slovenia is now in its seventh year, came to their aid and helped them purchase a new firefighting vehicle which will allow them to work even more effectively.
In this way Slovenia’s biggest insurer aims to help the approximately 17,500 inhabitants of the Posavje region whose safety is secured by the 15 volunteer fire brigades operating under the Sevnica Firefighting Association in the municipality of Sevnica. “In order to fulfil our mission of creating a safer future for all generations, we support projects that have a long-term impact and help to improve lives in local communities. In so doing we give special emphasis to prevention work, which is why we have decided to support the Sevnica Firefighting Association as part of this year’s New Year campaign. Even more effective with a new firefighting vehicle
The new acquisition has also been welcomed by the more than 2,200 firefighters serving with the 15 volunteer fire brigades in the Sevnica municipality. “At the Sevnica Firefighting Association we are well aware that preventive work is very important. Because the pandemic is continuing, we are probably not going to be able to complete all our prevention-related activities this year, but citizens can nevertheless always count on us to come to their aid when needed,” said Gašper Janežič, commander of the Sevnica Firefighting Association and regional commander for Posavje.
