Redesigned DRAJV: increased safety, greater discount, more benefits

With safe driving, drivers can ensure a discount of up to 25% on car insurance

DRAJV, the first application in Slovenia and the Adria region that, with the help of GPS signals and sensors, uses a smartphone to monitor the safety of driving, and that enables drivers to save up to 25% on car insurance through safe driving. The young may also reduce the surcharge for young drivers by 50%. In addition to the increased discount, Zavarovalnica Triglav also upgraded the service with more detailed and transparent maps, useful feedback and tips to improve driving. The improved mobile application also includes interesting challenges and prize games, within which Triglav will reward 50 safe drivers with annual vignettes this coming January. At the insurance company, they believe that with this move, they made another important step towards improving driving habits and safety on our roads.

At Zavarovalnica Triglav, they have comprehensively addressed the redesign of the mobile application DRAJV, as every element of the service was a subject to deliberate improvements. One of them is the map through which the application provides detailed information about the journey and allows a better overview of the planned route. They also redesigned the point system. Some of the changes are the result of feedback from users of the original version and it now provides an even more user-friendly experience. In addition to technological improvements to the application, drivers also have at their disposal useful feedback and concrete suggestions that will help them improve their driving style.

Reward: Up to 25% discount on car insurance and a vignette for the year 2016

With the free application DRAJV, individuals may first acquire a 5% discount and then, depending on the number of kilometres travelled safely, a monthly upgrade saving a total of 25% on the insurance policy annually. If you prove yourself a safe young driver, you can also get a discount code that allows a 50% reduction in surcharges for young drivers. Besides, the application is now richer in entertaining challenges related to safe driving that additionally motivate drivers for safe behaviour in traffic. In the coming January, Triglav will reward 50 users who meet all the challenges with an annual vignette for the year 2016.

Objective: Reach more Slovenian drivers

Why has Triglav decided to upgrade the application? Gregor Miklič, the project manager at Zavarovalnica Triglav, responds: "The application has clearly filled a gap that existed in the market. The latter is demonstrated by the fact that in four months, it was downloaded by 9,000 users who have travelled a total of more than 750,000 kilometres. From the users, we received many proposals that were considered in the development of the new application version. We decided on the upgrade because we want to build on the initial success of this sort of service and to offer consumers the ability to substantially reduce the cost of their car insurance by driving safely. This way, they will also contribute in the long term to improved road safety. At Triglav, they estimate that with this improvement, they will achieve an even greater proportion of drivers that, in addition to the financial benefits and incentives to improve safety on Slovenian roads, will be convinced by the greater practicality, attractiveness and precision of the application.

Triglav for the traffic safety of tomorrow

For many years, Zavarovalnica Triglav has been dealing with safety improvement as one of the most important tasks in the area of prevention. Thus, Triglav has been among the first to warn that it is the young drivers who need more experience for safe participation in traffic. To this end, the insurance company launched the project Day of Safe Driving for Young Drivers in 2009 in the AMZS Safe Driving Centre in Vransko, which was later upgraded by the program Triglav young when additional training for novice drivers became legally mandatory. Another important milestone in the efforts for safer roads was reached in June this year – with the launch of the free mobile application DRAJV, with which the insurance company aims to encourage beginners and experienced drivers to drive safer and improve their driving habits, and thereby contribute to increased traffic safety.
